Version v1.2.4

Definition

The capacity to produce workable mechanisms and implementation pathways, not just concepts.

Poles

Each HES element is a spectrum, not a category: the Low and High poles describe how it presents at its two extremes, while the Reference marks the typical, everyday middle. The poles map variation across the range — neither end is inherently better or worse.

Low Pole

Slogan-level ideas without mechanics; implementation breaks down.

High Pole

Rapidly designs workable constructions, hacks, prototypes, or methods of execution.

Reference

Can invent mechanisms, but needs time and external scaffolding.

Measure

Primary: Feasibility.
Secondary: Efficiency.

Measuring Methods

Practical/engineering-style cases → evaluate feasibility and solution efficiency under constraints.

Empirical Anchor

Inventiveness / applied creativity; innovation capacity; invention as problem-solution pairing.

Notes

Distinct from creativity: focus is on how to make it work, not on novelty per se.
